How can i fix my ford ka central locking?

I can hear the central locking working if i unlock the passenger door, but this doesn't go round to the drivers, and so i then have to go round and unlock that door separately. Is there something wrong with the drivers door.. or do you think its the locking system? Please help i have no knowledge of the system. Will it cost me a lot to send it to a garage?

Not great news I am afraid as this happened to me. Ka was under warranty but this is actually a "Known Fault" as water gets into the seals and messes with the electrics. Ford offered to pay towards to thecost but I was still left with a bill for £175 I couldn't afford that and was pretty disgusted with Ford. However, I live with it by locking the drivers side manually and opening from the passanger side. Bit of a pain and the neighbours find me highly amusing but apart from that, the Ka is great and we have had many happy times together. I would contact Ford as they will offer to pay something towards it (it was 75 %)
