How can i fix my GHD Straigtners?

Just recently my GHD straightners have been reacting rather dissimilar. This is because firstly when using them the red light began to flicker and then would automatically switch off. I then left it to rest in which it would then repeat this process. My alternative option was to replace the fuse within the plug as I have now had them over 18 months and thought it was time for its replacement. The hair straightners then began to work but only for a short amount of time, as when placing them in the socket for the second time after replacing the fuse, no red light appeared and they did not heat up.
Please help! i truly do feel like crying, have grown to love my straigtners!

Thank you for that info Mike but I had already sent my straightners to Jemella Ltd for repair, so do you think theyll repair them due to that concept? Or should i try contacting elsewhere as orginally i had bought my straightners online over the internet.

I think your problem may be a burned-out heating element, GHD recalled 8500 units just before last christmas because of this because it actualy started house fires, beleive it or not this is actualy a manufacturing flaw with GHD and you are entitled to your full money back guarantee even if your warranty is out of date, once you have the model and serial number of your unit you are ok.
