Is there an internal fuse in most washing machines ? Following a recent lighting storm the washer has no power.

Hello Steve,
Some machines do have a suppressor where the mains lead goes into the machine which can blow causing the machine not to work, you may have already done so but plug the machine into a different socket and check the fuse in the plug just in case, if you decide to open the top of the machine you must make sure the plug is out of the wall, do not under any circumstances go inside the machine until you have done this.
