servis m3110w will not stop filling?

My Servis m3110w will not stop filling with water to allow it to move on to washing, it just makes strange noises.

The washing machine spins and will empty fine.

Any ideas whats wrong as I know nothing about how washing machines work

Hi I would think that there is a problem with your pressure switch, when the machine is filling and reaches a certain level
it activates a thing called a pressure switch, this then moves your programme switch on to the next part of the cycle.
There is a pressure chamber that is connected to the tub of the machine, it is normally located down at the base of the tub
at the rear,(Possibly the front) and it has a a small pipe connected to a pressure chamber (it looks like a small container with two small pipes connected to it , one of the pipes is attached to the pressure
switch (a round looking think with several wires attached)
disconected the pressure chamber from the tub and see if it is blocked with old soap sludge or full of water, if it is, clean it and your problem should be solved, but do not forget to refix it back on the tub of the machine.
