I am having problems with my windscreen wipers in the fact that when I go to use the first setting to wipe it won't work but the second and third setting works? any ideas?
Also my first and second setting on my fans in the car dont work but my third setting does!??

i have honda accord-95. today , my font windscreen was freezed in the morning. i tried my wind shield wiper and it worked. Later again, when i tried to use it, wiper did not turn on..
can anybody help me in this matter

The fan problem is probably due to the heater element that is in the heater blower box is past its best. If you stick your head in the passenger foot well and look up you will see a big plastic box with a round plastic insert which is the motor and to the side of it a rectangular plug that is held in place with two cross head screws. Take this out and replace it. It should be long and green and look like a heating element. Make sure that you do replace it with one from a s or sx as the sportings have a 4 speed motor.
The wiper motor speed is probably due to the switch in stalks behind the steering wheel have stated to go. Replacing them is the only option but do check the wiper motor itself to see if it is in a pool of water.
