you need a windygun of a tox wrench then where the kick start is ,take the plate off thats behind it then where the kickstart is there is a nut quite a big one about a 22mill take theat off then behind it there isa washer , remove it and put it all back together with out that washer , there you have it a de-restricted ped :D

hey guys n girls i have a yamaha jog rr and i am potering about at 35 m/p/h just want to know if i buy a sports exhast will this just leave me with the rollers and washer on the variator?
Thanks in advance

inside the carbeurettor, there is a washer ontop of the throttle block, this stops you geting 100% throttle, restricting top speed and acceleration.
remove the washer, and adjust the throttle cable.
mine is an 02plate jog R (yamaha cs50 - air cooled)

Yamaha Jog Can Be De-Restricted By Doing The Following:

1) Removing the washer in the variator.

2) Removing the restrictor in the exhaust.

3) Removing the Rev Limiter Cable from the CDI (My cable was Black & White - '52' Plate Jog R) I think the cable is red in newer models.

if its an after sale exhaust it should already be derestricted, if not wat to look for is a pipe that comes out from the pipe that is connect to the muffler kinda bit, it would be about 10" long and is crimped and welded at the end, to solve this cut off as close to down pipe, leaving enuff to crimp and weld. If u look down the hole where the pipe connects to the engine this should be about 1" in diameter if it looks smaller than the engine port than it mite have had a washer welded in the end to restrict the exhaust gases leaving which will restrict performance, this needs to be drilled out. need any more help mail me at robertsbad@hotmail.com
