Get copy of owners manual for your mower from Sears Parts..should not run more than $10. Instructions for taking the deck off and replacing it are two pages long. Even though I'm slightly mechanically inclined, I've never taken the mower off because I did not want to mess up the adjustments that make it mow level. I'd recommend you look at instructions, if uncomfortable, get someone to help you, or to do it for a small feel.
