could be 2 things realy!! 1 = as the brake pads begin to wear , they become much thinner , and become to move closer and closer to your front disks , , then you have a worn set of brake pads , re new them, new pair of brake pads verry cheep depends what car you have . 2 = your brake disks could be warped or buckled slightly, this is caused if your brake pads become verry worn down,causes friction between your brake pads and the discs , when your brake pads are verry worn out , , , your discs buckle with the heat , of metal against metal , scraping into your discs as you aply your brakes, this causes the damage of disk warping also scrapes in your discs , replace your discs also , i would jack up your car , take your wheel off, and have a look for wear on your discs , also look for were and verry low brake pads ,cheep to buy your parts from any car spares shop, , sugest you buy a socket set and a spaner set , and you can do the job easy
