Vauxhall Corsa SXI Gear Problem?

Hi,

I have a 2003 Vauxhall Corsa SXI with 30,000 on it but I am having problems with the gears, 4 and 5 are ok but its a nightmare getting it into 1 and 2 as well as reverse, I wouldn't of thought it would of been the clutch on the way out due to low mileage. Does anyone have any ideas what might be up???

Thanks

gear selector needs replacing common fault repair kit 40 quid takes about one hour tricky 2 set up if unfamiliar, central locking if u changed battery may need reprogramming easy 2 do check in manual

Hi does it crunch going into reverse more so when hot?
If yes it,s your clutch from what your describing it sounds just like the clutch.
Even at such low mileage could still be the clutch if theres a oil leak on the centre plate this would cause failure, driving with your foot on the clutch pedal, wheel spinning things like this can all cause early clutch failure.
