Since having a go at 'repairing' my washing machine by removing some coins from the drainage prips in the rear the machine seems to have a mind of its own. Regardless of what setting I put the machine on, a few seconds after starting the wash it starts clicking round and will always go to setting 3. even if after it stops moving and I move it to the desired setting it moves on its own again. Once it was finished its washing the dial clicks once every second continuous until I switch the machine off. ANY ideas how to resolve?

i dont know yet, mines doing the same but does not do anything but click continusly after switching it on, ive still got aload in and half full of water, tried sitching it of , for awhile and putting it to empty ,but it just starts clicking again,,when switched on, have looked for leeks ,,nothing, have looked for loose wires , nothing, belts on, motor works,electricly tested that, i think the fault on mine could be the timerset switch, good luck all.

Took machine apart again noticed one of the pipes was not securely fixed with the clip, now working correctly no clicks
