making a ticking wall clock?

Am an average d.i.y. man. How difficult would it be to make a wall clock from scratch ? It must have a pleasant tick ( nice lazy sound ),preferably with a pendulum, but i cannot afford the space needed for weights. Is there anywhere i can buy parts and instructions ??? Or is it way out of my league ?? Hope you can help. ------------ Archie Anderson

probably out of your league...its not the weights its the pendulum, to get a nice ticking you need a pendulum of about 3/4-1 metre like a long case clock..
