How do I replace the front wiper motor on my 2000 Pug 306?

I have a 2000 Peugeot 306 1.8i Meridian.
The front wiper motor has gone and I need to replace it.
I have another one to fit, but am unsure at the outset, as the metal bracket that fits over the top of the motor body looks like a bit of a job. Is there anything I should be weary of?

done
don't know its stumped me, tried changing wiper stalk on steering column also and still does the same!

i know its a common problem with peugeot 306's this age but the only thing left i can think of its a wiring fault, bad earth or something like that!

also my rear heated screen don't work - no power getting to rear elements!!

no car expert but everything is pointing to wiring fault!

sorry can't be much more help!

Cheers. Tried the new motor and it worked better than the old one but...

No movement when intermittent or normal speed selected. When fast selected, get normal speed.

Rain sensor module has worked without fault until now, relay is ok.

Any thoughts?

I have a 1999 306 and my wipers are faulty - don't work on intermitant wipe (rain sensor model) and won't park properly either after single wipe!

If you have the same prob its prob not the motor as i changed mine and still does the same!!!!

Before you dismantle the assembly try plugging the new new motor in to the existing wiring to check it works properly!!!

Hope that helps a little!
