my simpson aquarius 704 is washing my clothes fine but when it comes to spin dry it just stops, as if it was always unbalanced. it shakes like mad. any answers to fix it would be helpful. cheers

Number 1 cause of faulty spin cycle is uneven machine...use a level on interior of machine and screw legs up or down, even 5 deg off is enough to mess with spin cycle.

COULD IT BE THERES TOO MUCH WATER FOR TOO LITLE CLOTHING OR NOT ENOUGH
COULD THERE BE SOMETHING CAUGHT IN THE HOSE WHEN WATER IS SUPPOSED TO RUN OUT FROM BECAUSE IF ITS NOT LEAVING WHEN SPUN IT PUSHES BACK AND ALL GOES OUT OF PROPORTION

THIS WILL MAKE THE BOWL HIT AGAINST THE WALLS OF THE INSIDE OF YOUR WASHING MACHINE

THE SWITCH MAY ALSO NEED REPLACING DEPENDING ON AGE
