My DeLonghi DFS 901SS oven door gapes slightly open looking unsightly reducing efficiency and causing heat damage to the dials. Can the door hinges be adjusted to close it firmley?

My door went like this after i took the door apart to to tighten up the front handle (which had came loose!). I wondered if I had put the top door seal on upside down? Can anyone describe how the seal should be fitted?
I recently also had the clock and selector switch replaced under my BGas Homecare agreement...the clock body was half melted, as were the connectors on the selector switch!! It now looks as if the clock is starting to drop down (heat causing mountings to melt?).
I wonder if I will be able to get my door closing bits replaced under my homecare agreement?

Hi cant help you but we have the exact same model and guess what the exact same fault on the door, it gapes slightly open as well. Also had to replace the wireing loom as well the oven and grill stoped working all in all we've had this cooker from new from comet and lots of calls to delonghi its a complete load of rubbish and the manufacturers dont want to know its only just 6 years old......Delonghi have a lot to answer for
