water leaks out of my rowenta steam iron?

water leaks out of my rowenta steam iron
how can it be fixed

Yes it's probably caused by a build up of scale, this warps the sealing washer, and only a replacement washer will do the job.

De-scaling regularly can usually stop this from happening.

Hi fifi,
I have a Rowenta iron too and mine leaks as well! I think it may be something to do with 'self clean'. I don't do mine regular enough, I think it should be done once a week, so it could be a build up of scale thats causing it to leak. It may just need cleaning via the self cleaning facility.
Hope this helps :-)
