Distressed B&S...Racheal?

How to repair?

Hello i have a 3.5 B&S lawnmower engine that once primed with fuel will keep running, however once you shut it down it won't restart unless you physically prime the throat of the carb any ideas. It has a primer on it however doesn't seem to be doing much. Also if i try to start mower when it is hot it will, however after a few minutes of cooldown i am back at priming. Any help would be appreciated.

Got it figured out. It was the primer circuit being plugged. Thanks.

A friend of mine said it may be start/primer bulb any suggestion anyone. Racheal

Thanks David, the carb is on top of the tank, I had the carb redone and still no luck. Thanks for the suggestion. I really am hoping not to have to take it in again. Racheal

Sounds to me that the carb needs to be tuned up or that the fuel line has cracks in it that's sucking in air bubbles. I know your pain, I have a briggs 4 HP that's doing what your saying. I'de personally send it in to your local small engine repair shop and have them look it over completely.
