toyota lucida wheel problem?

I have a J reg Toyota Lucida. I have had it for three years. It now feels like driving over a cattle grid. After a very short journey there is a smell of burning and the front nearside wheel is hot. Any ideas what the cause is and is it fixable by a non mechanic?

Sounds like your brake caliper is sticking on. I have had a similar problem on my 106. I removed the pads and disc to free up the caliper slider by just forcing in in and out until it became loose again. May be a different set up on your car though.
