HOW CAN I FIX MY WINDOWS ON A CHEVY ASTRO VAN?

HOW CAN I TELL IF THE WINDOW MOTORS ARE BAD ON MY 95 CHEVY ASTRO VAN. NEITHER PASSENGER OR DRIVER AUTOMATIC WINDOWS
WORK

first you should check the fuse, if its good, verify if theres energy on the switch, sometimes the switches get damaged. i have an older model and the windows where not coming up or down on either side. I did all the checking, then took the motor out myself, i had spend a whole afternoon working on that. the motor costed about $40 dollars or less on a GM store. after placing it back, both windows worked perfect.

It is unlikely to be the motors that have gone, as normally it is the gear in the motor that goes first, usually leaving your window stuck half way up! I would look at the fuse first, and then the switch itself, if the passenger window works ok on the switch on the passenger door then that will probably be the cause.
