same problem on my s reg. Immobiliser started to play up had to do it manually (been doing it over 12 months now) now the b*****d wont start at all need help!!!! do i need a new immobiliser or new keys? changed the batteries in the key still no change.

I have this problem aswel i dont have a keyfob key just an old style key. the car has been starting fine for months but now it wont. turns over but just wont go. i have been to renault and bought a new key but they say that it will cost me more money because the key wont sync but another garage says that there is nothing wrong with the immobiliser, can anybody help. email me if u can n200tod@yahoo.co.uk

what makes you think it is the imobiliser. there are several things that could be the cause . firstly does the engine turn over when you turn the key i had starting problems last year & i was convinced it was the imobiliser. took it back to the dealer they replaced the air intake sencer which made no difference at all. it turned out to be the crank sencer . and the car refused to start untill it was replaced , its being cleaned twice in 12 months but is again fine.
