VAUXHALL ASTRA SPORT 1796cc 16V WIPER PROBLEMS !!?

I JUST GOT AN S REG ASTRA THE WIPERS WORK ON BOTH FAST AND SLOW SETTING FINE BUT ON INTERMITTENT THEY DONT GO FULLY TO THE BOTTOM AND STOP AT THE TOP ALSO AND DONT WORK FOR LIKE 10/20 SECONDS THEN MOVE A BIT LOL HELP !! I TRIED A NEW RELAY AND THAT DIDNT WORK SO IM STUCK NOW

I have just got that same problem with my 99 Astra Envoy 1.6!!

Lynda, i too have that problem with my v astra 1.4 s - reg.
im searching for an answer too.

a reliable source has told me maybe its the "stalk" (aint got a scooby bout that one), i havnt enquired/tried it so i cant say if it is that, but hope u sort the problem soon!

I've just got the exact same problem with my 1800 sport as well. If it's not the motor or relay could it maybe be a faulty wiper stork. (the lever on the steering)
Any help would be great.

DEAR LYNDA, IAM SORRY I DONT HAVE THE COMPLETE ANSWER, AS I TOO HAVE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM, AS YOU DID I CHANGED THE RELAY THEN I ALSO TRIED A NEW MOTOR, AND IT STILL! HAS THE SAME PROBLEM, SO LIKE ME YOU NEED TO LOOK ELSEWHERE, I HOPE THIS IS A LITTLE HELP, BY SAVING YOU THE EXPENSE OF A NEW MOTOR, UNLIKE MYSELF.
