Minor starting problem Renault Scenic -99 (Gasoline)?

Every morning (almost) when I'm starting the engine it takes a long time before i starts. The start motor and batteri seems to be OK, and I've just changed the plugs.

After this 'first time' start it's usually no problem to start it the rest of the day.

Any theories about what it could be?

It could be the crank sencer that is the under lying cause and require a clean or renewal, a new one isnt cheap.so try cleaning first. ive had mine done twice second time was this morning took less than 15 min,s. soak a cloth in lube oil &use a small wire brush to clean the end then wipe with the cloth, and replace. the sencer is located to the right side below the air filter & tucked up behind the hoses, its bolted to the engine with two bolt,s

Change the TDC sensor, worked for me, Apparently quite a common problem on the scenics, The new sensor comes with a new loom and connector which you have to connect to the existing wires from the old one. The kit comes with a couple of wire connectors that have to be soldered to the cables. I used slightly different connectors to make it easier.
Reletively easy job if your a little mechanically minded.
