If this is a 1.5 single overhead cam see the below information, if double overhead cam see the end section,
SOHC
The lower crankshaft gear has an arrow stamped into the gear teeth, line this arroiw up with the crank case notch on the bottom.
If correct then the top cam gear line should be lined up to the top notch, the cam gear line is very easy to locate.
If you remove your rocker cover and number 1 sparkplug (nearest the cam belts), #1 piston should be up the top and the cam loabes should be off, with no pressure on the valves and ready for firing.
DOHC
refer possibly Holden Barina 1997 SB, motor similar or when you do the timing belt, it should have come with a pamphlet showing the marks.
