how can i fix my 35 classic briggs and stratton?

my mower ran out of oil ouch! now when i start it loads of smoke (white) pours out and oil comes out of the silver thing on the side. (some sort of filter) what can i do? please help, thank you.

sounds like you overfilled it with oil its coming out the crankcase breather tube
