1,3&4+door lock flashing, dry tested pump & it is working ok out of the machine but no response when in it & door can not be opened even though i have manually emptied the machine

having been told my machine needs dumping, my boyfriend looked at the hose underneath and squeezed it. no water in it. kept squeezing. opened the front where all the crap goes, forgive me as i cant remember the name of it, but its where u have to clean it. we found a torn bit of clothing. kept pressing reset on the machine. nothing. kept repeating the process and YES everything started to work. just persevere and try everything. good luck and let me know how u get on. jules
