Citroen Saxo battery light and power steering fault?

Got an intermittent fault on 2002 saxo 1.1 - battery light flashes off and on with a clicking noise, and when this is happening power steering does not work. Turning off ignition for a couple of mins and restarting sometimes stops it. Any suggestions?

Check the two red main wires coming from the back of ignition switch, both should have full power at all times, if one does not the ignition switch is faulty.

Yeah, not a major problem. just check your drivebelt, it may be slack or in need of replacement. cost you about £6 if you need a new one.
