What is "Ntc" short for?

Hi, please could you tell me what "Ntc" is short for with regard to a Indesit WIL113;

f03 lights 3&4 Ntc fault

Regards,

Maurice

Could be "Negative Temperature Coefficient", which is a type of thermistor. I've seen an NTC thermistor used to sense the air temperature downstream of the dryer element in a Creda washer/dryer, and the point where it connected to the pcb was marked "NTC". HTH.
