Which type of roof makes a better/easier conversion for a Talbot Express?

Hello All,
I live in France and have a 1992 registered Peugeot J5 2.5 diesel minibus, (The J5 was the Talbot Express in the UK). There are only 174,000 kms (about 110,000 miles) on the clock and I would like to convert it to a small motor-home. Can anyone offer any advice as to which is the best type of roof to put in? Should I go for a hi-top or a lifting top?
All feedback gratefully received.

A high top is more convenient but a lifting top will give you more access to car parks where there is a hight bar.
