ford mondeo MK2 reverse lights stopped working?

Recently the reverse lights on my mondeo mk2 stopped working. I have replaced the bulbs and the fuse, but still not working, is there a switch on the mondeo for the reverse light? if so, where is it and is it an easy fix?

you should check the switch on the top of the gearbox.
it is basically a bolt sensor with a wire coming out of it.
make sure its fitted proper or replace it.
