The liquid has evaporated from my snow globe which is also a musical one. Can I take the bottom off and just add distilled water to the glove and then put it back together?

I have a water globe with a town and a moving train going around it. My grandson dropped it and it started leaking and ruined the movement part or, the part that makes it move when plugged in. I dont know the name of this part, but I need a new part for this. Can you help me?
