where is are the timing marks on a corolla 4AFC motor?

I would like to chnage the timing belt and seal and how long does it take

These are easy cambelts to change compared to others; the only complication is the removal of the left hand engine mounting (prop up the sump with a large piece of wood before removing). I would personally make my own timing marks with tippex - the original ones can be seen though if you shine a torch on the crankshaft pulley.

I can change a belt on these engines in about an hour - but I would allow twice that if you've never done it before. The seal is easy to change once the belt is off - the crankshaft pulley and nut are not particularly tight.

The most fiddly thing I find is putting the cam covers back correctly - quite a jigsaw puzzle.
