I have a 1996 Nissan Altima, and the windshield would not turn on. I have checked the fuses and they are fine. We have narrowed down the problem to the motor...I tried to remove the motor but it was hanging unto something that was embedded into the body of the car... and I am not sure how to remove this. Please help!

Thanks Jonathan...that was exactly what I did...I had to play with it...and once the motor was replaced it fixed the problem.

first you need to remove the wiper arms. Pry off the rubber cap at the base of the arm and remove the pin to get the arm off. then you need to remove the cover that runs the width of the frame under the wipers. Finally there is an access panel you need to remove that is above the motor so you can disconnect the motor ball joint from the arm linkage.
