How can I fix my sticky accelerator (gas) pedal?

I have a 2000 Honda Accord. In the mornings, my gas pedal does not go down when I press it in a normal way. I need to step on it pretty hard once. Once I do that and "unstick" it, it is fine. It was not always this way. It just started all of a sudden a few months ago. Thank you for any advice you can give.

I'm really sorry...I'm pretty sure I can find the oil filter and I do have WD40. but I have no idea what a bonnet, injector inlet rail or spring are. Can you explain in more detail? Thank you for your patience w/ me.

lift bonnet spray some WD40 or other loosening fluid on the accelerator spring usually around the injector inlet rail just under the air filterand then clean the spring with an old toothbrush
