Naiko DW120 dishwasher programmer stuck?

I have a problem with my aforementioned appliance. Power is on and dishwasher active but programmer is not moving and pump is running continuously. No matter where I turn the programmer to it sticks there with the pump running continuously and not starting any washing cycle. Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

we had the same problem - when it first happened the thing was running all night. have sent for a few spares but when we removed the element it actually had a hole in it. we replaced that and it has been fine but it was strange that none of the fuses had blown so you could also check the electrics first.

I am afraid I do not have an answer but have been given a tabletop Naiko dishwasher DW040 for which I have no instructions. I am desperate to discover where the salt and rinse aid go because I do not want to use the incorrect slot.

With thanks.

Thanks for the reply. Interesting that having changed the programmer, your machine still stops at the same place. I was going to change the programmer on mine but after stripping the front door down to still find the timer sealed, I just resorted to 'manually persuade it'. Its been ok for about 5 weeks now, just waiting for the next episode!

I have a Naiko DW080 that is doing the same thing. I just tried replacing the rotary timer (after waiting months for the part to arrive) and it still stops in exactly the same points on both the dishes and glasses cycle.

I suspect it is waiting for a signal from something.

Symptoms: water is heating and when I open the door (where it gets stuck) the dishwasher has hot foam on the floor and walls of dishwasher.

If I work out what is wrong before I boot the whole thing out the door I will post again.
