my new craftsman mower leaves a tuft of grass about in the center of the third blade on the chute side, also it seems to cut uneven ( sort of looks like a bad haircut) The mower and blades are new so I would assume a bent blade would not be possible but who knows?

I'm not sure. Mine was doing great until I replaced the original blades with aftermarket blades. Now mine is having the same problems. I assumed it was a bad set of blades so I got some other blades and I'm still having the same problem. I really don't feel like paying the $60 plus for sears blades but it looks like I may have to.
