Troy-Bilt TB25ET starter rope?

The starter rope on my Troy-Bilt TB25ET has pulled all the way out and will not recoil so that I can start the engine. Any ideas as to what has gone wrong?

to replace the recoil starter rope how do you hold the output shaft to remove the drive puller and recoil the spring

I have a troy-bilt self propelled mower and the start rope seems to be stuck. It will not pull at all. Any ideas?

Thank you!

spring is broken. You need to either buy and install a spring or get a recoil assy. Latter being much easier.

Not sure, but the manual might offer some explanation.
