Ariston A1636 washer stuck on wash cycle?

My ariston A1636 (1600 spin) washer starts ok but wont progress from the wash cycle - i have to move it on to rinse to complete the cycle. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think I have the same problem with my A1636. Try starting it on cycle 1 (Prewash). Shortly afterwards, mine stops with lights 2, 3 and 4 flashing. This indicates there is a fault with the heater relay apparently. This is part of the main circuit board.
