How can I seel a fine crack in an old, white porcelain jug?
The jug needs to be waterproof since it is used for fresh flowers and now allows a slow seepage of water. It is embossed on the outside and would need to be repaired from the inside.
I am a ceramicist and I repair such things with slip and refiring and glazing. It is the only way you will get a proper watertight seal and preserve the piece for posterity.

Spread a thin layer of bathroom silicone sealant (available from any DIY store) over the crack from the inside. Allow to cure, 4-6 hours and there you go
