my drum does not turn and the haet still comes out hoe can i check to see if the belt is broken

If the drum rotates freely by hand, and you feel little resistance, then the belt is probably snapped or adrift.
If you can't turn the drum then the drum, fan, or motor may be jammed or seized up.
