I have an N reg volvo 440. The key fob lock /unlock key has stopped working suddenly. The ignition key turns on power ok but I cannot start the car or lock it automatically with the key fob. I have checked the key fob batteries and they are ok, any suggestions

just wondering if u ever did work out ur problem or not im having trouble with my own immobi cant get car started after fitting new stereo car will lock and un lock and still get ignition lights but no turnover,can u shed any light my way,cheers G Crombie,volvo 440

I have the same problem. The solution is NEVER EVER buy (not even touch) a car that is equipped with an inmobiliser/alarm system.
