how to change water pump on 1998 cavlier?

my car is over heating and i have a leak comung from my water pump i belive, pluse my fan does not come on.please help me slove this problem

you have to remove the cam belt on your car,you need to be pretty competant to do this,as you need to line the timing belt marks up,when you do this it is always better to replace the timing belt when you have it off as timing belt failure could lead to engine damage,a small garage will probably do the job for you for less than £100,the fan is not workin as you probably need a new sensor,it will either be in the engine beside the thermostatt housing,or on the radiator beside the top hose,depending on engine type,a sensor is probably around a tenner,and if you get the water pump done the garage will probably fit it for you for free as only takes couple of minutes
