How can I stop my alarm bell from sounding (Scantronic 9448)?
The external alarm bell/siren sounds continuously with no evidence for an alarm condition showing on the control panel. The only way to stop it is to cut the power supply and disconnect the battery. Any ideas???????
I had a similar problem, which turned out to be a small spider crawling around inside one of the PIR sensors! I know it sounds crazy, but 'evicting' the 'intruder' and re-securing the sensor seemed to work!

Sounds like tamper circuit/microswitch in your external sounder.
temp link terminals "tr" and "0v" in alarm panel with a bit of wire then give it a try.This will by pass sounder tamper circuit .
