Recently every time I tried to use my Zanusi Jet system 1200; the green start button flashes before it is even pressed to start the machine, and then I hear a contiuous bleep and see (E 40) on the disply.

I'd would be grateful if you explain this situation/ error and advice me on how to deal with it.

E40 is an error with the door being left open. Check the catch on your door.
