turn you treadmill on, stand on the sides, put the red sensor in its place. Wait for the display to show the number 7. When display is on press and hold the mode and stop buttons down with one hand and with the other hand remove the red sensor all the while keeping the mode and stop buttons depressed. Wait a few seconds then replace the red sensor. The treadmill should beep and your display should come to life. I found these dircetions on the Sportcraft website. It took some looking around but I finaly found the manuals and error codes. I used the error code E7 directions to fix my treadmill which was also reading nothing but a 7 on the display.
