Keep large debris and strings, etc. from wrapping around the brush roller.
Avoid getting corners of rugs and fringes stuck in the brush roller, it is hard on the clutch if it gets stopped.
Every week or so, check the blue foam filter in the pre-motor assembly and clean if necessary.
