My warmflow boiler runs all seems ok except it doesn't fire up. A couple of days ago there was a surge of water pressure caused by NI WATER and since then it hasn't fired up the water pressure is ok now.

I have a warmflow boiler. The 'on button' in the house comes on but the boiler doesn't fire. However, if I press the reset button on the boiler the burner fires up. Any idea's how to fix as afraid I might be doing damage to the boiler? Many thanks

is the oil pump where the reset button is and also is the allen key screw near the reset button on the warmflow boiler

Most probably air in the pipe or it may have drawn dirt through when the tank emptied. Check and clean your oil filters and wash through with oil then you will need to bleed the oil line until the oil comes through by loosening a nut close to the burner. There is also an allen key screw on the oil pump for bleeding it. Press the reset button a few times and it should fire up. Don't keep pressing reset constantly or there could be a build up of oil inside the boiler. If it doesn't fire after a few presses wait a while and try again.
