ink cartridge?

My black in cartridge is a remanufactured and not printing
The colour one is fine and about half full so I want to test the black one in the colour carraige or would this mess up the colour cartridge carraige circuit?.

Thanks Philbert
A mate tried it before I came on the scene but a warning came up on screen [good thing] to tell him it's in the wrong carriage so no damage done as it still works. No print at all with black.
Black one on Z11, my backup printer, right cartridge but won't work, it's pushing out the ink as it smears over and up the rear part of the cartridge over the printed ciruit [print heads I believe] but no text not even the test pages.
I've even tried the damp lint free cloth as suggested by Lexmark trouble shooting guide and gently cleaned of the base of both cartridge selecting a clean area of cloth with each wipe.

Ink comes out ok I then let them dry replace them but again no print I am now thiking it MAY be the printers are colour selective, if you get my meaning, and that in my house is a very serious No! No!, so I might get rid of them.

Regulator! if you think below shouldn't be in then deleat it.

www.rubberfrog supplied them but I am not saying THE cartridges are faulty what my complaint with them is they have not replied to my 3 emails on what the problem could be. It appears there is no customer service unless you're buying. [Oh! all three re-manufactured ones, or refills if you like]

Dont do it. 90% of time its different configuration of connectors and you could end up damaging the device.

If its a copy cartridge bin it and try another manufacturer. JetTec Cartridges are good and reasonably priced i find.
