How do I reset Diamond 400 alarm after a powercut?

We have a Diamond 400 house alarm and after a powercut, it is no longer accepting the personal code we have been using. We have lost the instruction booklet, and since this alarm is quite old (somewhere between 11 and 17 years old), there is no info on the web. Hope someone can help.

power down the panel and remove the battery .power the panel back up using mains only not the battery.type in your code if it does not work try1234 or5678 .fit a new battery .hope this helps if not try phoning guardner technology now part of the risco group
