Order your throttle body gasket, should be around $6 to $8 AU
Car should be cold, do not perfrom if car is hot. Disconnect your battery terminals.
Is this a throttle body set up, your 1.5 should be fuel injection?
take out air cleaner box and tunnel, disconnect sensor loom on the tunnel.
On the side of the throttle body, you will notice two connector sensor plugs, they are different shape so unplug them.
disconnect the throttle cable and any other hoses conected to it.
On the bottom of the throttle body you will notice two parrarrell hoses, these are cooling hoses, disconnect gently and place away to one side. Check coolant level when you finish entire system clean.
On the face of the throttle body, you will notice two bolts, possibly 12 or 14 mm, remove these bolts and spray some wd40 or other lubricant on them once you start to unscrew. Daewoo use a chemiweld substance on the threads or locktite substance to ensure these do not vibrate out.
leave the electronic gadgets attached to the throttle body, these are the two sensor plugs, they have also loctited these screws.
I wouldnt submerse the entire throttle body in solvent due to these connectors, i would use the "spray brake cleaner" and clean lint free cloth and a compressor to clean the unit.
remove old gasket, ensure faces are clean.
if you want to clean the PALUM, which is where the throttle body bolts to then this is the time and is fairly easy.
I purchased a bottle brush from the local Mitre 10 hardware store (look in the broom area), its a wire one and has a radius of about 4 inches.
If you see lots of debris in the Palum, vacumn it out first.
spray the inside and while spraying, use your brush to genly wash the inside, the brake cleaner dries instantly.
ONLY ADJUST THE THROTTLE SCREW ON THE SIDE if needed.
hope this was helpfull
