How can I make repair on my Kenmore Elite dryer. Model # 110 60982990?

The dryer will run when the start button is pushed in but stops when start button is released.

Believe your motor relay or primary motor winding is bad.
Change motor (relay change is usually just as expensive).
New motor comes with relay (black box on side of motor).
