Rear Wheels Locked Up On My Rear Engine Snapper Mower?

I was cutting grass when I ran over some hard dirt and all of the sudden the mower stopped going forward. I dis-engaged the blades and it still would not move. I killed the engine, put it in neutral and still could not roll it. The back wheels are locked up. I can't seem to figure out why....can anyone help me?

is this a hydrostatic drive? if so the wheels are not locked up. There is a level behind a door in the back that dis-engages the drive to allow it to free-wheel. You may want to take the back off and see if the drive belt popped off.
